DE-KO — Percutaneous discectomy

Is a minimally invasive procedure that utilize the Archimedes’s principe of the screw pomp, in order to remove the nucleus pulpous in case of Herniated disc reducing the pressure in the disc and area surrounding the painful nerve root.

The procedure is suitable for any level of the spine with good advantage for the patient in term of ANESTHESIA, RECOVERY TIME, and PAIN, the access is made by a needle skin puncture with no cicatrix  and no suture, most patient go home the same day of the treatment.

The procedure is performed under fluoroscopic guidance.

By removing the nucleus from the herniated disc is taken immediately of and the patient feel the result in minutes or few hours from the procedures.

The quantity of material removed is from 0,5 cc to a maximum of 2 cc and the entire procedure can take form 5 minutes from maximum 20 min.

The DE-KO is a disposable discectomy handling used in combination with an introducer needle of 16G and 18G
